Ultrasound could tailor your surgery numbing dose

NCT ID NCT07353047

Summary

This study is testing a new way to decide how much numbing medicine to give for arm surgery. Doctors will use an ultrasound to measure the size of a patient's nerves and calculate a personalized dose. They want to see if this works as well as the standard methods, which are based on body weight or doctor's experience, while possibly using less medication.
