First seen Feb 04, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 11 times

Summary

This study looks at whether customizing breathing machine settings during lung surgery can lower the chance of lung problems like pneumonia or collapsed lungs. About 352 adults having video-assisted lung surgery will take part. One group will get standard care, while the other will have settings adjusted to their individual needs. The goal is to see which approach leads to fewer complications within a week after surgery.
