Tailored breathing support could make surgery safer
NCT ID NCT07392918
Summary
This study is testing a new way to help patients breathe during certain types of surgery. Researchers want to see if using a personalized pressure setting to inflate the lungs is better than using a standard, one-size-fits-all pressure. They will compare the two methods in 90 patients having laparoscopic surgery while lying head-down to see which one leads to better lung function and fewer breathing problems after the operation.
