Lab-Grown Mini-Tumors could unlock best cancer drug for each patient
NCT ID NCT07351513
Summary
This study is testing a personalized method to choose cancer drugs for patients with advanced liver cancer that cannot be surgically removed. Doctors will take a small sample of a patient's tumor and grow miniature versions (organoids) in a lab to test which standard drug works best against it. The goal is to see if this approach helps patients live longer without their cancer getting worse compared to standard treatment selection.
