Scientists test Custom-Made vaccine to train bodies to fight HIV

NCT ID NCT03758625

Summary

This early-stage study tested a personalized vaccine for people living with HIV who were already on effective medication. Researchers took white blood cells from 40 participants, turned them into a vaccine, and gave it back to them to see if it was safe and could teach their immune systems to better fight the virus. The main goal was to check safety and see if the body showed an immune response, not to cure HIV.
