One-Size-Fits-All CT scans? study tests Gender-Equal dosing
NCT ID NCT06965790
Summary
This study aims to improve CT scan image quality by personalizing the dose of contrast dye. Researchers will compare the standard weight-based dosing method against a new method that accounts for a person's blood volume, which differs between men and women. They hope this new approach will create more consistent, high-quality images for all patients, regardless of gender.
