Custom air pressure for surgery patients aims to prevent lung collapse
NCT ID NCT07345650
Summary
This study is testing if customizing the air pressure from a breathing machine during weight-loss surgery is better than using a standard pressure. Researchers want to see if this personalized approach helps keep the lungs open, improves oxygen levels, and reduces breathing problems after surgery. They are comparing the two methods in 40 adults having this type of operation.
