Tailored chemo dosing aims to boost cancer fight, cut side effects

NCT ID NCT06501989

Summary

This study aimed to see if adjusting the dose of a standard chemotherapy drug (5-FU) based on its level in a patient's blood could improve treatment for metastatic colorectal cancer. It planned to test this personalized dosing approach in adults newly diagnosed with advanced colon cancer that had spread. The goal was to find the most effective dose for each person while trying to reduce severe side effects.
