NCT ID NCT05647616
First seen May 01, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study looked at whether a 4-week strengthening program for a specific foot muscle (peroneus longus) could improve function in people with a condition called dorsiflexed first ray, where the big toe joint is too high. 70 adults with this flexible condition were randomly assigned to either do the exercises or receive no treatment. The main goal was to see if the exercises increased pressure under the big toe joint during walking, which indicates better function.
