Summary
This study looks at the fluid in the belly of people with a serious infection called peritonitis, which can happen when a part of the gut bursts. Researchers want to understand what causes the infection by measuring proteins and germs in the fluid. About 50 adults with this condition will take part. The goal is to learn more, not to test a new treatment.
