Short Pre-Surgery exercise test may spot hidden heart damage
NCT ID NCT06474754
First seen Feb 06, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a brief, low-intensity exercise test done before surgery can help doctors find signs of heart injury that happen after noncardiac surgery. About 61 adults aged 45 and older will take the test, then have their heart monitored for a few days after surgery. If the test works well, it could help doctors choose treatments to lower the risk of heart problems after surgery.
