This study looked at nearly 3,000 adults having elective abdominal surgery to find the best combinations of standard treatments before, during, and after the operation. The goal was to help patients spend fewer days in the hospital, have less nausea and vomiting, and control pain better. The study compared different care routines already in use to see which ones worked best.
