Can fish oil and aspirin supercharge your gum treatment?
NCT ID NCT07523841
First seen Apr 17, 2026 · Last updated May 03, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study looks at whether taking omega-3 fatty acids and low-dose aspirin along with standard deep-cleaning gum treatment can help people with advanced gum disease (periodontitis). About 120 adults will be split into three groups: one getting only deep cleaning, one adding omega-3, and one adding both omega-3 and aspirin. Researchers will measure gum pocket depth, bleeding, and blood markers of inflammation to see which approach works best.
