Summary
This study followed 471 young people with gum disease (periodontitis) for 10 years to see how the disease progresses and what factors cause it to come back. Researchers also looked at why some patients stop their treatment. The goal is to find early signs and risk factors to improve long-term care and prevent tooth loss.
