Gum gel shows promise in small study

This study looked at whether a special gel could help treat gum disease. Twelve adults with moderate gum disease received standard deep cleaning plus the gel. They also used the gel and a special toothpaste at home. After 8 weeks, their gum pockets and bleeding improved. The study was small and had no comparison group, so more research is needed.
