Hidden emotional struggles: new study seeks to uncover postpartum mood patterns
NCT ID NCT07008183
Summary
This study aims to better understand the emotional ups and downs women experience during pregnancy and the first year after giving birth. Researchers will follow 200 women to track their mood symptoms and identify patterns that might help doctors provide better care. The study focuses on both depressive symptoms and less-recognized symptoms like racing thoughts, irritability, and reduced need for sleep that often go undiagnosed.
