Laser or air blast: which better tames implant gum disease?
NCT ID NCT03451981
First seen Dec 29, 2025 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study tested whether adding a laser or an air-polishing device to standard deep cleaning improves treatment of peri-implantitis, an infection around dental implants. 47 adults with at least one affected implant took part. The goal was to reduce pocket depth and bleeding, but the disease may still need ongoing care.
