Summary
This study tested a new device that combines a stent, filter, and balloon into one tool to treat narrowed carotid arteries (the main arteries in the neck). 178 people at high risk for standard surgery took part. The goal was to see if the device is safe and effective at preventing strokes, heart attacks, and death within 30 days of the procedure.
