Summary

This study tested a new, less invasive procedure to prevent the sigmoid colon from twisting again in people who have had repeated episodes. The procedure uses a needle to fix the colon in place through the skin. The trial included 66 high-risk surgical patients aged 16 to 80. The main goal was to see if the procedure reduces the chance of the colon twisting again.
