NCT ID NCT07277127
First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study compared adding a needle-based treatment called percutaneous electrolysis to a standard exercise program for people with chronic tennis elbow (lateral epicondylitis). 68 adults with symptoms lasting at least 3 months were split into two groups: one did exercises alone for 2 weeks, and the other did the same exercises plus three sessions of ultrasound-guided electrolysis. Researchers measured pain, pressure sensitivity, and arm function at several points up to 3 months after treatment to see if the combination offered extra relief.
