Simple breathing tool aims to stop deadly hospital pneumonia
NCT ID NCT07189260
Summary
This study is testing if a simple breathing exercise called PEP therapy can prevent pneumonia in patients recovering from hip fracture surgery. About 566 patients will either use the PEP device four times a day or receive standard care alone. Researchers want to see if this easy therapy reduces lung infections and helps patients recover better and faster.
