First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study tested whether adding a one-time ultrasound-guided nerve stimulation treatment (PENS) to standard physiotherapy helps people with shoulder pain after surgery. 70 adults who had arthroscopic shoulder surgery were split into two groups: one received only physiotherapy, the other received physiotherapy plus PENS. The goal was to see if the PENS group had less pain and better arm function over 12 weeks.
