Zap away shoulder pain? new combo therapy put to the test

NCT ID NCT07498569

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looks at whether adding a type of electrical stimulation (PENS or PE) to a 12-week exercise program helps people with long-term shoulder tendon pain. About 64 adults will receive either real or placebo stimulation during four weekly sessions. The goal is to see if the combo reduces pain and improves shoulder function better than exercise alone.
