Can a cancer drug stop early lung cancer from returning?
NCT ID NCT04317534
First seen Apr 18, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study looks at whether giving the drug pembrolizumab after surgery can help prevent stage I non-small cell lung cancer from returning. About 244 people who had their tumor removed will be randomly assigned to receive either pembrolizumab infusions every 6 weeks for about a year, or just be watched. The goal is to see if the drug improves how long people stay cancer-free.
