Sitting or standing? new study probes hip angle differences in impingement patients
NCT ID NCT05678894
First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated Apr 25, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study compares hip socket angles (acetabular anteversion) in different positions—standing, sitting, and lying down—between people with femoro-acetabular impingement (a hip condition) and healthy volunteers. Researchers will use 3D CT scans and X-rays to measure these angles in 140 participants. The goal is to better understand how pelvic tilt affects the hip joint, which may improve diagnosis and treatment planning.
