Simple stretches ease debilitating pain for women after menopause

NCT ID NCT07329218

Summary

This study tested whether adding specific pelvic floor stretching exercises to a standard routine of Kegel and pelvic rocking exercises could better reduce pain and improve quality of life for postmenopausal women. It involved 60 women aged 45-55 who were experiencing chronic pelvic floor muscle pain. The goal was to see if the combined stretching and strengthening approach was more effective for managing this common menopausal symptom than strengthening exercises alone.
