New mesh implant aims to fix pelvic floor dropping

Summary

This study is testing a new Y-shaped mesh implant called ProGYNious for women needing surgery to repair pelvic organ prolapse, where pelvic organs drop from their normal position. The main goal is to see how well the implant works to correct the problem and improve quality of life, while also checking for safety and complications. It will involve 100 women at five medical centers who have symptomatic prolapse.
