Summary
This study tested whether peer support workers could help people with opioid use disorder feel less depressed and anxious. 40 adults receiving medication for opioid use disorder took part. They met with a peer specialist for weekly problem-solving sessions over 12 weeks. The goal was to connect them to lasting mental health resources and improve their well-being.
