Moms helping moms: simple room share boosts breastfeeding success
NCT ID NCT06277856
Summary
This study tested whether putting first-time mothers in the same hospital room as experienced, successful breastfeeding mothers could help the new moms. Researchers wanted to see if this simple peer support would increase the new mothers' confidence and their rates of exclusive breastfeeding. The program trained experienced mothers to offer support and encouragement during their shared hospital stay.
