Peer teaching boosts hygiene in female students

NCT ID NCT07464405

First seen Mar 27, 2026 · Last updated May 02, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study looked at whether female university students can learn better genital hygiene habits from their peers. 46 students took part, with some trained as peer educators who then taught others. After the program, students showed better overall hygiene, especially in daily habits, though menstrual hygiene and awareness of abnormal signs did not change much. The findings suggest peer education could be a simple way to promote reproductive health on campus.
