First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study tested whether having older students teach first-year nursing students could improve their math and medication calculation skills. Fifty-five students were split into two groups: one received three weeks of peer tutoring, the other did not. Results showed that the peer-tutored group improved more on tests of numerical and drug calculation abilities.
