Low-Pressure breathing safe for kids during brain surgery, study finds
NCT ID NCT07370779
First seen Jan 29, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study looked at 30 children having brain surgery to see if a small amount of breathing support (called PEEP) changes pressure inside the head. Doctors measured the nerve behind the eye as a way to check brain pressure. They found that using low-level PEEP did not raise pressure and was safe for these young patients.
