First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study tests whether custom-made surgical guides, combined with a special cutting tool, can safely and accurately release a locked jaw joint (TMJ ankylosis) in children under 15. The approach uses 3D planning to precisely cut the bone and improve mouth opening. Early results will be checked with CT scans and jaw movement measurements.
