First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study tested whether custom-made surgical guides help surgeons perform precise bone cuts in children with a locked jaw joint (TMJ ankylosis). Eight children under 15 received surgery using these guides and a special cutting tool. The goal was to see if the planned cuts matched the actual surgery and if mouth opening improved.
