Doctors scramble to learn if adult stroke treatments work for kids

NCT ID NCT03887143

Summary

This study looked back at the medical records of 70 children who had a stroke to see how well and how safely emergency clot-busting treatments worked for them. These treatments are standard for adults but there is very little data on using them in children. The goal was to gather crucial information on treatment timing, safety, and what factors lead to better recovery in young patients.
