Can kids get their cochlear implants tuned up from home?

NCT ID NCT07035873

First seen May 01, 2026 · Last updated May 10, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study looks at whether cochlear implants in children aged 13 to 20 can be programmed remotely instead of requiring an in-person visit. Researchers will measure how satisfied the children and their parents are with the remote process, and also test speech understanding using an iPhone app. The goal is to make follow-up care more convenient without sacrificing quality.
