New hope for kids with deadly brain cancers: experimental vaccine trial opens

Summary
This study is testing a new vaccine designed to train the immune system to fight aggressive brain cancers in children and young adults. It will enroll about 120 patients aged 3 to 39 with newly diagnosed high-grade glioma, diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma (DIPG), or recurrent medulloblastoma. The vaccine targets a common virus protein found in these tumors and is given as a series of injections, alongside some standard chemotherapy, to see if it can help control the cancer and improve survival.
