New hope for kids with leukemia: testing a powerful drug combo

Summary

This study is testing whether adding a drug called venetoclax to standard chemotherapy is safe and effective for children and young adults with newly diagnosed acute myeloid leukemia (AML). It will involve about 70 participants under 22 years old. The main goals are to see if the combination is tolerable and if it can drive the cancer down to very low levels after the first round of treatment.
