Can a handful of pecans a day keep memory loss at bay?
NCT ID NCT07348406
Summary
This study is investigating whether eating pecans daily as a snack can improve memory, mood, and overall brain function in older adults with mild cognitive impairment. Sixty participants, aged 50 and older, will be randomly assigned to eat either pecans or pretzels daily for three months. Researchers will also look at how these snacks might affect gut bacteria, inflammation, and the connection between the gut and the brain.
