First seen Jan 12, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study looks at whether changing positions with a peanut-shaped birthing ball can help first-time mothers who have an epidural have shorter labors and fewer complications. About 110 low-risk women will be randomly assigned to use the peanut ball or receive standard care. Researchers will measure labor times, delivery method, and health of both mother and baby.
