Peanut ball may speed up labor for moms with epidurals
NCT ID NCT07333209
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looks at whether using a peanut-shaped birthing ball during scheduled position changes can help first-time mothers who have epidural pain relief have a shorter and safer labor. About 110 low-risk women in Qatar will be randomly assigned to either use the peanut ball or receive standard care. Researchers will compare labor length, delivery method, and health outcomes for both mothers and newborns.
