Tiny plug for tiny hearts: new hope for premature infants
NCT ID NCT06587282
Summary
This study is testing a small device called the BLOOM Micro-Occluder to close a persistent blood vessel in the hearts of premature infants. The procedure aims to treat a condition called patent ductus arteriosus (PDA), which can cause breathing and feeding problems. Researchers will follow 55 babies for 6 months to see if the device is safe and successfully closes the opening without major complications.
