Heart defect closure study aims to reveal hidden recovery patterns
NCT ID NCT07568002
First seen May 05, 2026 · Last updated May 05, 2026
Summary
This study looks at how the heart's upper and lower chambers change shape and work better after closing a common heart defect called patent ductus arteriosus (PDA). Researchers will use special imaging to measure these changes in 40 people aged 12 and older who are scheduled for a catheter-based closure procedure. The goal is to better understand heart recovery, not to test a new treatment.
