Do PCOS treatments harm your eyes? new study investigates

NCT ID NCT07419776

Summary

This study aimed to understand how two common treatments for Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) affect eye health. Researchers followed 90 women, comparing 60 with PCOS to 30 without. The PCOS group was split: half took birth control pills and half took a fertility drug (Clomiphene). Doctors checked their eyes for dryness and other changes before treatment and again 3 and 6 months later to see if the medications had any impact.
