NCT ID NCT07515365
First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study will examine 100 patients with lower gut symptoms like chronic diarrhea, blood in stool, or abdominal pain who are having a colonoscopy. Researchers want to see which types of colon inflammation (colitis) are most common and how they appear during the procedure. The goal is to improve diagnosis and guide treatment for these conditions.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
What this could lead to
If successful, this study could help doctors better identify and manage different types of colitis based on symptoms and colonoscopy findings.
What could go wrong
This is an early observational study with only 100 participants, so results may not apply to all patients. It does not test any treatment.
