Summary
This study aimed to listen to and document the real-life experiences of patients who developed kidney injury after a severe infection called sepsis. Researchers conducted hour-long interviews with 28 patients and their caregivers from the US and Germany to understand their symptoms, treatment journeys, and the personal and social impacts of this condition. The goal was to gather patient perspectives to help improve future care and support.
