NCT ID NCT06050122

First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 31 times

Summary

This study tests a gel called patidegib to see if it can prevent new basal cell carcinomas (a type of skin cancer) on the face of adults with Gorlin syndrome, a genetic condition that causes many skin cancers. About 140 participants will apply either the active gel or a placebo to their face twice daily for one year. The main goal is to count how many new skin cancers appear on the face after 12 months.
