First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study aimed to see if blood flow restriction therapy (using a cuff to limit blood flow during exercise) improves pain and function in people with patellofemoral pain syndrome (front knee pain). Only one person enrolled before the study was stopped, so no conclusions can be drawn. The approach was to compare real therapy to a sham (fake) treatment over 12 months.
