Summary

This study compares two common steroids (dexamethasone and methylprednisolone) in children aged 3-17 hospitalized for severe asthma. The goal is to see which treatment reduces the need for more steroids after leaving the hospital and improves quality of life. About 159 children will be randomly assigned to one of three steroid schedules.
