Scientists test brain cell transplants to fight Parkinson's

NCT ID NCT06778265

Summary

This is an early-stage study to see if a new cell therapy is safe for people with Parkinson's disease. Doctors will take a patient's own cells, grow them into a special type, and then transplant them into the brain during surgery. The main goal is to check for safety, but researchers will also look for any signs that it might help improve movement and other symptoms over two years.
